Quilt for Train Town.
One of my son's favorite places to visit is a place he calls train town. It's really The Western Reserve Model Railroad Museum but Ben loves to call it train town. We visit it often and have gotten to know a few of the other regulars who are there when we visit. As with many small org. it is run on donations and sponsors. I have long thought about trying to be a sponsor with my quilts but I just don't make much money doing it right now. SO I thought it might be a great plan to create a quilt for them to raffle off and bring in some extra support money for the museum.
I currently have several blocks ready to start and begin the quilt. I will be posting updates on this page as I work on the quilt.
This quilt will only be trains. I will not be using any other train items on it.

I currently have about 13 blocks completely colored and 2 which are partly colored. Some of these blocks will be put in to the Train Town quilt and some will not. I am coloring all that I have ready so that I can make another quilt when I am finished with this quilt. When this quilt is finished it will have 24 engine blocks in it.
March 19th

Blocks are ready to be put together.

Top finished.

I finished the quilt 31 April 2008
